I noted that last weekend, after a terrible week, the press hardly noticed the market's fall. This weekend however, was a different story. Bearish stories seemed to be everywhere - Barrons, the NY Times, not to mention Cramer practically wetting his pants in terror. [1] All that fear was apparently good for the market. It recovered nearly everything that it lost on Friday. But we're not out of the woods yet. Markets rarely drop in a straight line. Rather, they take their own sweet time, meandering, rallying, faking out, drawing suckers in for the punch. Beware this market. The top may already be in. Everyone will be watching to see how far it goes, and everyone's got their eye on the exit...
